Submission Guidelines:

For written material:
We typically read pieces between 500 and 2000 words in length. We've published longer pieces, and we've published shorter pieces; in general terms, the successful Delmarva Quarterly submission is clear, concise and skillfully written. It should reintroduce readers to the peninsula.

• Please submit your work via email or on CD. Use a rich text file (.rtf) or Microsoft Word document (.doc file type only) and include your name. If absolutely necessary, you may submit your written work as text in the body of your email, however please be sure to include your name with the title of each piece.

• If electronic submission is not possible, please submit a clean, word-processed paper copy, with your name included.

For photographs and artwork:
• Submissions of high-resolution digital files (JPEG or PDF) is preferred.
Digital files must be at least 300dpi at a size large enough to be used for:
Cover or full page: 8.75” x 11.25”
Two Page Spread: 17.5” x 11.25”
Images can be smaller, but larger sizes allow for more flexibility of use in the publication.
• High quality transparencies or slides can also be used. We cannot guarantee timely return. Some items may be kept on file for future use.
• PLEASE, DO NOT SEND ORIGINALS.
